75 word bio
David Saffert & Jillian Snow share the stage as Liberace & Liza Minnelli, creating an exhilarating night of musical and comical fireworks. Saffert’s dizzying piano skills and Snow’s powerhouse belt team up in Cabaret, New York, New York, Over the Rainbow, The Man That Got Away plus surprise covers by Lady Gaga and Britney Spears. There are as many laughs as there are sequins when their Liberace & Liza take hilarious (and sometimes mischievous) turns vying for the spotlight. No matter what, they both come out winning and audiences are left in awe, humming and quoting a night they’ll not soon forget.
“In 2023, “Liberace and Liza: A Tribute” became the cornerstone of our summer programming—and months later, our audiences (and staff members!) are still quoting the show. Between the exceptionally high level of true, and often times, jaw-dropping artistic talent and sheer comedic brilliance on display by David Saffert and Jillian Snow, sits a wonderfully heartfelt tribute to two artists for whom connecting with an audience was everything. Through them, Liberace and Liza—in all their glitz, glamour and singular uniqueness—live loud and proud, full of ego and pathos, humor and heart, and story and song. May their sequins and costume jewelry brilliantly reflect the spotlights of our country’s stages for years to come!”
- Randy Taradash, General Manager / Artistic Producer at Feinstein’s at the Nikko
“The playful nexus of drag performance, beloved popular and musical theater songs, and off the cuff humor, creates a brilliantly alive space in which we’re all invited to step into the warmth of their wild holiday festivities.”
- Marissa Wolf, Artistic Director at Portland Center Stage
