We are so sorry to say that our New Jersey shows this coming weekend have been canceled, as have the rest of Theater Q’s season. We wish everyone at Theater Q the absolute best and hope to bring our show there sometime in the future
From Theater Q:
“It is with a heavy heart that I announce a temporary pause in production at Theater Q Asbury, and with it, the cancellation of our upcoming show: Liberace & Liza, a tribute: Shore Why Not? at House of Independents. This decision was not made lightly. In recent weeks, three of our major private donors-who have been essential to our launch and early growth-have decided to pause their contributions amid the current sociopolitical and economic uncertainty. I’ve been in conversation with each of them, and I’m hopeful they will revisit their support in the fall. Unfortunately, the broader cultural climate has played a significant role in this decision. As the current administration intensifies its attacks on the LGBTQ+ community-dismantling federal support and pressuring private companies to distance themselves from DEI initiatives-we are feeling the ripple effects. These pressures not only threaten our financial foundation but also undermine our core mission: to have a voice.”
Thorgy Thor, star of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 8 and All Stars Season 3, makes a very special guest appearance on Saturday, April 5! Expect dazzling duets with Liberace, show-stopping moments with Liza, and a night of unforgettable entertainment!

The immensely funny and brilliant Anthony Hudson has conjured up a new tale for audiences this September! Portland’s premiere drag clown, Carla Rossi (Hudson), finds herself trapped on a rock in the middle of the ocean while the sea level rises from melting ice caps. Alone with a seagull afflicted with IBS, Carla encounters the world’s last surviving polar bear, the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, a death metal moon, and Liberace and Liza Minnelli (David Saffert and Jillian Snow Harris) in this multimedia drag farce that utilizes puppetry by Matthew Leavitt, interactive video, Rez Metal by Damage OverDose, and kinetic sculpture by David Eckard—all as Carla navigates climate disaster and the terror and joy of living on an increasingly distressed planet.
